May 25, 1927: Henry Ford Announces Production Of The Model T Would End The Following Day

Between 1908 and 1927, some 15 million Model T’s rolled off the assembly line, bringing affordable four-wheeled horsepower to the masses. The popular cars continued to be workhorses in Depression-era America. In 1936, the Vernon Evans family of South Dakota used it to migrate across the northern Rockies in time for hop-picking season in Yakima.
